Building connections in WA’s creative tech ecosystem

On Thursday 29 January, we were proud to host a Community of Interest gathering at Backlot Cinema (thank you Ian Hale) in partnership with Meshpoints.

The energy in the room was tangible—curiosity, openness, and a genuine willingness to collaborate. We’re grateful to everyone who attended and shared their passions, ideas, and projects so generously.

It was fantastic to connect with representatives from The Pack, Astral Projekt, Red Bird Creative, Creative Institute, Murdoch University, Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development, AusIndustry, City of Perth, and our founding partners, Department of Energy and Economic Diversification, and Edith Cowan University.

This is exactly why Communities of Interest matter. They create space for ideas to meet, for overlaps to emerge, and for new partnerships to form organically and authentically.
We’re looking forward to continuing these conversations and exploring the synergies that grow from this gathering over the coming months.
