In 2023, CTV launched, along with an MOU with Singhasari (Creative Hub) in Indonesia, East Java (Western Australia’s Sister State), as part of their Creative Tech Exchange (CTX).

Local South West Producer Myles Pollard was in the final stages of post-production and sought out a Visual Effects team to develop the animation sequences for his film Inheritance, which was shot in the South West. Myles collaborated with Singhasari and Role Play studios. Inheritance is a short film that follows the story of a recently paroled prisoner, John Barker (played by Travis Jeffery), whose dying grandfather gives him a journal containing the story of his convict ancestor, Wilson Barker. Delving into his history, John learns that the turbulent past of his family may have in some way contributed to his own recent troubles.

It’s a very powerful film that we encourage you to see with your family, it is beautifully shot and casted, and with the animation sequences, it’s a great project highlighting collaboration and commitment to high quality film making. 

Inheritance was officially selected for Flickerfest, an Academy Award®–qualifying international short film festival in Sydney, Australia.
