January 2026

Welcome to 2026 and thank you for being part of the Creative Tech Village community.  The year ahead is shaping up to be an important one for creative technology in Western Australia. Across the state we are seeing growing momentum in digital production, screen, gaming, sound, AI, and immersive technologies, with strong interest from industry, government and the next generation of talent.

We’d like to kick off the year to introduce Dee Mosca as our newly appointed Creative Producer. With over a lifetime and decades as a creative tech artist, in a move that can only be described as next level commitment, she has also fully embraced the CTV brand kit by debuting a brand aligned hair colour. We did not ask for this. We do deeply respect it.

Check out a few of the projects and programs we will be collaborating on this year below. If you have a project to share, an idea brewing, or a question you have been meaning to ask, please reach out. We would love to hear from you.

Warm regards

Mat Lewis

CTV Director

Light Up Bunbury

Creative Tech Village has been engaged by the City of Bunbury to lead the development of a long-term lighting and projection strategy for the city, under the working title of Light Up Bunbury. Working in partnership with the City, industry specialists, and the community, the project is aiming to create immersive lighting and projection opportunities across key public spaces to support place activation, events, storytelling, and night-time economy outcomes. This work positions Bunbury as a regional leader in creative technology and innovation, while building local creative capability and future skills.

CTV Director Mat Lewis joins  WA Creative Industry Taskforce

Mat Lewis will join the new Creative Industries Taskforce and Action Plan which will help grow the State’s creative economy, support local talent, boost investment, and open doors to global opportunities.

The creative industries action plan will guide development across screen, music, design, performance, digital innovation, and First Nations arts, helping build a vibrant and connected creative community.

Given Mat’s background in being a stick figure and sketch drawer of ideas, he knows only too well about the power of collaborating with creative talent to bring ideas to life. As a regionally based creative advocate, and with a strong international background, Mat is looking forward to contributing to the creative state, and its growth.

Partnerships

The Pack

The Pack is an Australian artist owned music streaming cooperative designed to support unsigned and independent musicians through a fair, user centric payment model. Unlike traditional streaming platforms, subscriptions are directed to the artists listeners actually engage with, supported by localised discovery that prioritises regional and Australian music.

Creative Tech Village is partnering with The Pack to support its launch and regional rollout, with the South West positioned as a trial region for engagement across retail, hospitality, live music venues, and creative communities. CTV is assisting The Pack with community engagement, promotion, and crowdfunding activity to support the final development phase required for launch.

As part of the partnership, The Pack will also contribute strategic input to CTV projects, including impact planning and funding strategy for initiatives such as the Bunbury immersive lighting project, future festival, and activation projects. The collaboration aligns with CTV’s broader goals of strengthening regional creative economies, supporting artist sustainability, and exploring scalable creative technology models with national and international potential as part of the Creative Tech Exchange.

Tender Relief

Creative Tech Village has partnered with Tender Relief, a Western Australia-built, AI-powered platform designed to support businesses to prepare stronger tender and grant submissions. Through this partnership, CTV members gain access to exclusive value-adds including expert training, one-on-one mentoring with experienced bid professionals, and tailored tools to help assess opportunities, build bid strategies, and improve submission quality. The partnership supports CTV’s commitment to strengthening regional business capability and helping creative and technology-led enterprises convert innovation into sustainable commercial outcomes.
