About the Community of Interest
The ‘Creative Technology in WA’ Community of Interest (CoI) exists to advance the support available to entrepreneurs, innovators and organisations operating in the creative technology sector. The creative technology sector includes immersive technologies (XR/VR/AR), gaming, 3D digital, drones, Web3, sound and lighting innovation, post- production, film and more.
Our vision is to drive economic impact, harnessed by the collective knowledge and resources of the WA CoI, empowering startups and innovators in the creative tech sector to thrive on a large scale. To foster collaboration between industry, government, and sector representatives within the CT CoI to effectively share key information and resources, driving the growth and success of the creative tech sector in WA

February 6th Meeting
The first Creative Tech Community of Interest meeting of the year took place at St Catherine’s College, bringing passionate individuals from the community together. 🌟
We heard some exciting industry updates and highlights from our partners including Bloom, the Bandwidth Program, ArtsiX, and INVESTinWA. Their insights sparked engaging discussions and allowed valuable connections to be formed across different parts of the ecosystem.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to the conversation. We’re excited for what’s to come in the Creative Tech space in 2025!🚀

September 20th Meeting
What an incredible time we had at the recent WA Creative Tech Community of Interest meeting. AA big thanks to Capgemini for sharing their beautiful venue and views with the extended CT CoI network. Collaborating for change is even easier when you have inspiring views of the Swan River as a backdrop.
This time round, the group focused on the CTCoI charter outcome asking what existing opportunities and collaborations are currently available to support creative tech innovation in WA, and what opportunities can you identify to support the creative tech ecosystem in WA?
With state representatives from the DLGSC, JTSI, DPIRD, Regional Arts, industry reps from XR, indigenous innovation, AI, ScreenWest, design, creative events, Meshpoints, CTV, education and so many more, the collaboration was EPIC!
Onwards and upwards for Creative Tech in WA!
