OVERVIEW

Generation Content

Aimed at emerging makers with a passion for creative communication, the program provides access to high-quality workshops, industry-standard tools, and hands-on production experiences. Participants explore areas such as film making, podcasting, social media, animation, and branded content – developing original work while gaining practical skills and industry insight.

Generation Content is a unique opportunity that will provide emerging creatives with hands-on experience developing a WA story with the face-to-face guidance of industry professionals.

The initiative has come from a collective desire to foster, up-skill and mentor emerging screen talent in Western Australia and create quality and meaningful Western Australian content, with an aim to provide employment opportunity in the industry within the state.

Our Programs

Generation Content

Generation Content is a short, structured idea-testing stream that gives a cohort of six to eight early-stage Western Australian creative-tech founders up to $3,000 each in direct funding to test, validate or prototype a single early-stage idea, wrapped in expert mentoring drawn from Creative Tech Village’s established BANDWIDTH and AMPLIFY networks.

The stream is deliberately tech-agnostic: it supports content ventures across film and video, music, gaming, design, immersive and AI-enabled media, and digital and online content, reflecting the breadth of the WA creative economy. Its purpose is simple and measurable: move a validated idea from concept to evidence within a six-month window, and produce founders who are better equipped, better networked and closer to a fundable or commercial outcome

In the {B}LAB

Each month, we’re inviting creators and technologists in to the {B}LAB to connect, talk about what they’re working on, issues they’re facing, and how we can solve them collectively.

Or just join the casual roundatable and hear what’s going on in our creative community.
